Don't Leave 03:34
Can't wait to see you tonight Been so long since you've been back in town Guess I'm surviving alright Not quite the same without you around Ride the wave Jetstream is calling One thing to say Before you touch down Don't leave me Don't leave Nothin' round here has changed The neighbors wave but keep to themselves Your old room looks the same Things left behind still on the shelves Ride the wave Jetstream is calling One thing to say Before you touch down Don't leave Ride the wave It's been so long Ride the wave Jetstream is calling One thing to say Before you touch down Don't leave me Don't leave

Remember when you were the air I breathed? Surrendered to the things that you believed What a shame that those days are gone Think we knew all along Who's to blame? Who's the alibi? Who's to say what is good enough? Are we letting go? Leaving all our memories behind From the world we know To another tragedy in kind Seems to me that we've both been wronged Seems to me that we've both been wronged Remember when you were my everything? Addicted to the love that you could bring What a shame that those days are gone Think we knew all along Who's to blame? Who's the alibi? Who's to say what is good enough? Are we letting go? Leaving all our memories behind From the world we know To another tragedy in kind Seems to me that we've both been wronged Seems to me that we've both been wrong

Skirt the ray of sunlight It may unveil who you are Masquerade in twilight And keep your soul inside a jar Homicide in season Mourn the city from afar Searching for a reason No discerning who we are No regard for others Zero value in a life Streets been overtaken So hide your kids and hide your wife Homicide in season Mourn the city from afar Searching for a reason No discerning who we are Stay left. Stay right Stay left. Stay right. Divide Turn the vicious circle How to stop? Where to begin? From the high rise watching Full of pride and full of sin Homicide in season Mourn the city from afar Searching for a reason No discerning who we are

Feels like I never am just where I want to be So hard to comprehend. Lost in the irony Can't put my finger on the flaw in the atmosphere Just want to fly away far from here Far from this place So far from here Don't think that I can face the stark reality Sensing that mother earth she's slowly killing me Put my defenses down to drown in another beer Just want to hide away far from here Far from this place So far from here Feels like I never am just where I want to be So hard to comprehend. Lost in the irony Can't put my finger on the flaw in the atmosphere Wish I could fly away far from here Far from this place So far from here

Ain't it something how we don't know what we're fighting for Ain't it something how we live as if we're keeping score Ain't it something that we never see the light Ain't it something how we never get it right Such a shame that there's so little time to save the earth Such a shame that we don't live our life for all its worth Such a shame that we just don't see the light Such a shame that we just can't get it right Maybe one day truth is offered up without a spin Maybe one day we will learn to see beyond our skin Maybe one day we'll finally see the light Maybe one day we'll finally get it right

about

Debut release from Blair Merlin. Rock on the lighter side with great emotion and feel. Rich with acoustic guitars, introspective lyrics, and soaring vocals. The band name is a constructed moniker (like Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, etc...) derived from regional pronunciation of "Bel Air Maryland". All songs are about a person's relationship; either with oneself, with another person, or with society.
